By using TruHue, you agree to the following terms:
1. Description of Service
TruHue is a color analysis app that helps you find makeup products that match your seasonal color palette.
2. Your Data
Your selfie photo and product images may be sent to Anthropic, PBC ("Anthropic"), the maker of Claude AI, for the sole purpose of color analysis. This occurs only with your explicit consent, which you can revoke at any time. Photos are processed by Anthropic's API and are not permanently stored on their servers. Product scan history is stored locally and synced to Firebase for personalization. You can delete all your data at any time from the Settings screen.
3. Third-Party AI Services
TruHue relies on Anthropic's Claude AI to analyze photos for skin tone, undertone, and product color matching. By consenting to AI analysis in the app, you agree that your photos will be transmitted to Anthropic's servers for processing. Anthropic's use of this data is governed by their own privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy. TruHue is not responsible for Anthropic's data handling beyond what is described here.
4. Age Requirements
Users under 13 must have parental consent to use TruHue. A parent or guardian must accept these terms on behalf of minors.
5. Acceptable Use
TruHue is for personal, non-commercial use. Do not reverse-engineer the scoring algorithm or scrape product data.
6. Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal
TruHue offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (Solo and Family plans). Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same rate. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
7. Limitation of Liability
TruHue provides color matching suggestions for informational purposes. We are not responsible for product purchases based on our recommendations.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Continued use of TruHue after changes constitutes acceptance.
